Initially offered to larger enterprises and educational
institutions, Microsoft's AI-powered Copilot assistant, leveraging OpenAI's
large language models, was introduced in December with a $30 per person, per
month pricing model on top of existing subscription costs. The latest
announcement marks the expansion of Copilot services to smaller businesses
subscribing to Microsoft 365 Business Premium and Business Standard, offering
up to 299 licenses at the same rate of $30 per person per month. Microsoft 365
E3 and E5 subscribers, who pay less, can also now utilize Copilot services.
The new Copilot Pro add-on for Microsoft 365 Personal and
Family subscribers adds an extra $20 per person each month, providing users
with enhanced assistance in tasks like writing, coding, designing, researching,
or learning. This service offers priority access to the latest models, starting
with OpenAI’s GPT-4 Turbo, ensuring availability even during peak usage times.
Subscribers can also switch between different models and design custom chatbots
